Breakfast + Canon Photoskwela

Breakfast for today: bread + Vienna sausage + steamed (or fried?? not sure) banana :))

Gosh. I’m liking RAW more and more. Hahaha!
Anyway, Canon Philippines came to our university to hold a photoskwela. The first speaker was none other than the MagicEye himself, Mr. John K. Chua. He’s a really funny guy. He keeps on teasing Canon’s VP on how he would want to give us free DSLRs. Hahaha! Too bad it didn’t happen. That would be way too awesome.
I love listening to the stories behind his photos. Like how he would trick Canon to lend him some DSLRs on really dangerous projects like sticking the cameras with duct tape on a roller coaster!! I really learned a lot from him yesterday.
There were also two more lectures. One is from Sara Black on Fashion photography. She was sooo kind and soooo pretty. I rarely appreciate Western beauty, but she needs to be an exception. It’s kinda like seeing Leighton Meester in the flesh, only she’s speaking in Tagalog. And the last one is from Tony Despojo on photojournalism. Amazing photos as well. And amaaaazing equipments. If only I could have that 24-70mm f/2.8L lens.

And below are the photos I took.

They exhibited the photos we submitted last semester just for Canon’s visit. It was all over the photo lab class, the hallway to the photo lab class, and some are in the lobby. And I’m one of those lucky (?) few who got their photos displayed at the lobby. And I got two! YAY! :D

The photo on the left is mine. I don’t know who owns the right photo.

The photo on the left is still mine. And I still don’t know who owns the photo on the right.

And these are my photos that were displayed in our class.

And some more…

This is probably one of my favorites from all the photos I took last year. And this was candid, but I just love the model’s expression so much. And I love shooting in a bus. Natural lights are everywhere. Amazing.
It was the first photography seminar/talk I ever attended. We were required to attend one last semester, but I had class so I kinda didn’t attend. Haha!
After listening to them, I just felt so inspired and somehow they helped me with my troubles these past few weeks. I learned to just do what I felt like doing and to really appreciate my work. I don’t know how I got to that conclusion, but I did anyway.
